Well they wake me at 1100 and tell me we must vacate the rooms because I was only booked for 1 night.(6 hrs !) The facility was mostly my, but I had to go.
They got 1 star because I had only 1-5 stars to choose from.
I live half mile from this dump. My house burned Friday morning at midnight. I checked in around 0430, telling the clerk that I would need minimum of 2 nts.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Waited 3 hours for our room to be finished to be told it was going to be done last, got a new room. The blankets and sheets had cigarette burns in a non smoking room. The hot water doesnt work (after me and my boyfriend drove for 14 hours to get here and were ready for a shower and a nap) to be told the refund would take two days. The manager wouldn't let us talk to the owner. We were on a budget and used our money to get this hotel room. I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE.
I left my $400 pair of eyeglasses in the room at this location, but the staff did not turn them in. I know I left them there and the exact place, so either they didn't bother to look or they got snatched??!
The motel was about average in all other ways, but there's simply no excuse for not caring about your customers' belongings...people must leave valuables behind all the time. For them not to turn up is inexcusable.
I have two puppies and telecommute into the office. She's been helpful on every level, from getting me a quieter room, helping with daily deliveries, providing local information, etc, etc, etc. She's almost my office manager and life coach! Definitely much more than front desk manager, she's "THE concierge extraordinaire". Motel 6 Harvey is very fortunate to have her on staff.
It's rare that I write two reviews and add a star, but I simply had to. Motel 6 gets an EXTRA STAR, on account of their STAR - Maria, the Front Desk Supervisor that has been so overwhelmingly terrific! I ended up having to extend my stay, and she has just been so helpful with everything and anything! I cannot praise her enough.

This is quite possibly the worst place I've ever stayed. Upon checking in, we were asked if we wanted a room that had air conditioning or heat, apparently you can't have both. The first room they put us in was very hot, and When we did try to adjust the thermostat on the HVAC unit you could not ( All of them are broken so you can't adjust the temperature or fan speed). We asked for another room which only had air conditioning which we were okay with us so we asked for another blanket to make up for it. It got a little too cold , and since you can't turn off the unit or adjust any of the controls due to the mall being broken, I wound up tripping the circuit breaker just so that I could turn the unit off. The bed was incredibly firm, and the linens were scratchy, The towels were like sandpaper and the water in the absolutely filthy shower was only lukewarm. Their was light coming in from the sides and bottom of the door due to lack of insulation. Our room didn't even have a television, and the outdated mini fridge inside sounded like it was going to explode every time it geared up to turn it to compressor on. We stayed for a total of 5 hours which consisted of us sleeping, and then we left, although we have the motel for the night, we didn't bother staying and found some place else to go for the night. We only accepted staying here because they allowed us to check in at 11 am and not 3pm and due to flight errors and a mix up at the Hyatt regency, we are up for 26th straight hours and just needed some place to sleep. Just after my five-hour nap, I woke up to a friendly little roach on my night stand, bidding me good afternoon. This Motel is in definite need of renovation.
