I was tired buying cheap vacuums from Wal-Mart and had heard great things about the Oreck brand. I considered Dyson and Shark vacuums too but those too are just glorified Wal-Mart vacuums. I decided to go with the Oreck so I went to the Manhattan Blvd Oreck Store. The man who owns the store (Dave I think?) was super nice and showed me all the models. I decided to go with the bagless version called the Touch. It's not as light as the others but it is bagless and has all the attachments on it. It's their newest model. Anyway, two months later and I have not been disappointed. The price at the Oreck store was also cheaper than online and if I ever have trouble I have a 5 year warranty and can bring it into the store for repair. I highly recommend Oreck and the location on Manhattan Blvd in Harvey!!
The sales team here were fabulous. They were patient with me despite me nailing them with a plethora of questions. It was highly obvious that despite several visits, and tons of questions, they were not "just about the sale." Even after the sale, the store associate kindly provided post sale support when I had a question about how to use a particular feature of my vacuum. I'm happy I came here and believe this store is one of few that still provided the true meaning of customer service!
We got there at 5:25 pm on a Friday, and the posted hours on Monday through Saturday say they are open until 6 pm, but the door was locked and no one answered when we called. Very unreliable and unprofessional.
